Hi! (:
I agree, everyone needs to stop with the mean spirited hate speech. I agree, the hateful rhetorical commentary needs to cease. But lets be honest about who started all of the lying, hateful commentary and rhetoric. Republicans kept fueling the fire and never called out their constituents or hate talkers Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck or Sean Hannity. I’m tired of Republicans who feign surprise when a mentally unstable person obtains a gun and kills someone. Right wingers refuse to take ownership over their inflammatory statements. Now we’ve got to worry about the safety of our Congressmen and the general public due to their constant ratcheting up of lies, fear and hatred.
Over the past two years I have witnessed the most insane rhetoric and just blatant lies emanate from the right wing (i.e. Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, tea party). Statements that made my ears burn and my eyes go wide with shock. I’ve never witnessed anyone from the left wing (Democrats, Liberals, Progressives) perpetuating lies about health or financial reforms, gay marriage, President Obama’s nationality or religion, etc. [I apologize in advance if I’m wrong but I just haven’t seen or heard any.]
I’ve selected quotes from some of the top conservative Republicans who have kept their followers well fed on the red meat of political rhetoric. How do they get away with working within our government while making anti-government statements???
Former Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK): “Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: ‘Don’t Retreat, Instead - RELOAD!’ Pls see my Facebook page.”
NOTE: This Facebook page no longer has a picture of a map with crosshairs on certain Congressmen’s districts. It was removed the day Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 17 others were allegedly shot by Jared Lee Loughner, who is presumed to have ties to a hate group. One of those crosshairs was on Gifford’s district 8 in Arizona. Palin may not have directly caused the shootings but she has not helped the tense situation in the US with her extremely snarky, hateful rhetoric and gun references.
Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ): “Our law enforcement agencies have found bodies in the desert either buried or just lying out there that have been beheaded,”
Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-MN): “I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people — we the people — are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.
Bachmann: “I think what the threat of ACORN would be deluding the ballot box and the effectiveness of our vote,” she said. “They will be in charge of going door to door and collecting data from the American public, this is very concerning.”
Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC): “The Constitution doesn’t grant a right to health care, and most of us are living as much by the Constitution as we can. It also doesn’t give the federal government the authority to deal with health care”
Foxx also said health reform would “put seniors in a position of being put to death by their government,”
Senator Grassly (R-IA): “You have every right to fear. You shouldn’t have counseling at the end of life, you should have done that 20 years before. Should not have a government run plan to decide when to pull the plug on grandma”
Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK): “What the American people ought to pray is that somebody can’t make the vote tonight,” he said. “That’s what they ought to pray.” [Praying for the death of Sen. Byrd?!]
Congressman Steve King (R-IA): “They (tea party) will leave us if we go wobbly,” he said. “I am worried about that, but that’s why I think it’s got to be a blood oath.”

Subject: Your hate speech won’t be tolerated
December 31, 2010
Commissioner Bill James,
Your recent rhetoric calling gay and lesbian Americans “sexual predators” is
hate speech, plain and simple.
Regardless of your views on the recent repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, it
is utterly unacceptable for a public official to denigrate an entire class
of people by labeling all gays and lesbians “sexual predators.”
I demand that you apologize immediately.
Sincerely,
Amenta Chavis
Hello and Happy New Year to you!
I don’t think monogamy is a natural phenomenon. Humans are animals. The only difference between animals in the wild and human animals is our brain function. We’ve got a bigger brain and are expected to have self control, etc. Every living animal exists within its own pride; harem, hoard, herd, etc. many of them consist of the one dominant male who sires all offspring of the females within that group. I think human males have this same trait/characteristic that is innate, buried within their subconscious. Some men do have control over this compulsion; however, many do not and use this as an excuse for their cheating behavior. Some men act as if they can’t control this greedy compulsion to cheat and have sex with as many women as possible. More on this later…
