I find it offensive when Republican tea party candidates, like Mark Kirk, assume voter fraud if large numbers of African-Americans turn out to vote for Democrats. These bigots even assume single women don’t know any better when they vote for Democrats. Republicans have repeatedly shown themselves to be dishonest hypocrites, yet they expect us to vote for them. Republicans have done NOTHING but wreck our economy and they expect all of our support. I think it’s despicable, outrageous and awfully arrogant.
I have seen and heard all I can stand of the Republican tea party noise from Joe Lewis’ disrespectful “You lie!” hurled at our President and John Boehner’s “Hell no you can’t!” rage on the House floor. I’ve had enough of their tirades. I’m tired of so much focus placed on the tea party madness –as if they represent the sentiment of every American. These bastards do not speak for me.
The Republican tea party thinks we don’t get what they’re trying to do. We get it and see very clearly what they’re trying to do and it’s not only outright racism and bigotry but classism as well. Going after the minimum wage and attacking the Unions while shipping manufacturing jobs to other countries has taken a serious toll on our economy.
Cutting funding for education, fire departments, eliminating gay rights and deregulating banks will not help our communities. But it’s not a part of the great Republican tea party plan to repair our economy and build the middle class. John Boehner and Mitch McConnell want to win at any cost and their loyalty is with the highest corporate donors not American citizens.
Republicans are notorious for rehashing the same tired rhetoric while producing very little solutions or ideas on how to improve our economy. The GOP would probably work better as a circus act or a house of smoke and mirrors. Yelling “Where are the jobs!” while helping to ship jobs overseas is hypocritical and they know it but have no shame.
The Pledge to America looked like a photo album from a Senior Citizens home. It had one page regarding jobs, devoid of solutions. Yet, Republicans ask “Where are the jobs?” Republicans are heavy on criticism and light on solutions and facts.
Republicans demand transparency while secretly accepting contributions from Rove’s shadowy donors, Koch Industries and who knows what foreign entities is hypocrisy of epic proportions. They’ve played the same game with Stimulus. Publicly against the Stimulus while privately requesting funds.
They think a majority of American voters don’t know better but I think we’ll show them what we know by the night of November 2nd 2010.
I never thought I’d live to see the day where so-called right wing Christians acted so cruel toward people who want to see our country make progress for the benefit of ALL citizens. These fake Christians don’t care about the poor, unemployed, our environment or the sick. The religious right wing doesn’t care about children who have been denied health insurance due to a pre-existing condition. They’re in favor of Republicans repealing the Affordable Care Act – aka health reform. Neither do they care about consumer protections from banks and credit card companies who prey on their customers.
How can the religious right wing claim to love God who they cannot see, yet show disdain and disrespect to their neighbor in need who they can see? HYPOCRITES!
The religious right wing DOES care about the wealthy, profits and stomping on the middle class and the poor. Demonizing the LGBT community seems to be their favorite thing to do. They love to put their fake family values, sanctity of marriage hypocrisy on full public display.
I’m not a religious person. However, I do recall the meaning of Christian being “Christ-like.” To hear the religious right disrespecting our President, Liberals, Progressives and Democrats because we want affordable healthcare, better education for our children, cleaner energy sources, more regulation of banks, insurance companies and the oil, coal and gas industries is APPALLING. The religious right wing bigots love to hate and hate to show love.
The left wing is accused of being lazy, not wanting to work, accused of wanting everything free, accused of criticizing or envying the success of the wealthy, accused of trying to share or redistribute the wealth, socialism, Marxism, fascism and just being lazy. These ‘’Christians” are experts at name-calling, hatred, lying and smearing while invoking the name of God. I often wonder if they’ve actually read the Bible at all.
Well excuse me for being “my brother’s keeper” and caring about not only my well-being but the well-being of others. Excuse me for fighting for social justice to keep our communities thriving, where people have gainful employment earning a decent living wage. Excuse me for caring about my neighbor who I see suffering!
Left up to the religious right wing our country will be taken back 200 hundred years. Our country would become like “Little House on the Prairie” where women were not allowed equal rights, Gays were not allowed to show themselves in public and Blacks were slaves.
It saddens me to see so much hatred of the POTUS and I know it’s mostly the sore losers who supported those imbeciles Palin and McCain along with racists and bigots.
Many of you haters only hate President Obama because of lies Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin told you. Worse still many of you dislike Obama because he’s an African-American who doesn’t fit your mold of what you think an African-American man is supposed to be like.
You’re jealous and hateful of a successful African-American MAN because you feel only a white man is entitled to be POTUS. Let’s keep it real honest. Socialist, Marxist, uppity, elitist are all the new “N” word for President Obama.
President Obama has accomplished more than any other President since FDR, health & financial reforms being the two highest achievements. I know the Republican Tea Party does not want to acknowledge that fact or any other facts. All the Republican Tea Party has are lies, fear and hate. And I mean they hate everyone and almost everything. Some of them need a hug and a psychiatrist to address their deep seeded issues.

I’d say absolutely NOTHING!
The “Pledge” is nothing more than a photo album of all white constituents. Take out the pictures and you’ve got about 10 pages of fluff that basically repeats the same talking points that the Republican tea party has been saying for over a year now. Big government, spending, taxing, ad nauseum. Page 16 has their plan for jobs: tax cuts for “small” businesses and less regulation. The “small” businesses Republicans are referring to are actually the wealthiest fortune 500 companies and rich people.
To be fare, maybe the Republican’s Pledge is good for something…?
Good for starting a bonfire
Good for cleaning windows with vinegar douche
Good for stuffing your shoes to keep your feet warm in winter
Good for picking up dog poo in the park
Good for lining a cat litter box
Good for making paper airplanes
Good for wiping your ass when you run out of toilet paper – although very abrasive
Good for cleaning dirt from under your nails
Good for laughs
Good for making cone shaped dunce caps
Good for rolling tobacco cigarrettes or blunts….
Feel free to add your own good uses.
Rant off.
We need to become a nation of people who learn how to “live and let live.” When will we get past social issues and choices that are personal and up to the individual to make? No one should be allowed to decide whether two consenting adults get to marry or whether a woman has the right to choose to use birth control or have an abortion. It’s really not our decision to make and none of the public’s business.
Every election cycle abortion rights and same sex marriage are at the forefront of right wing debate. The Republican Party has made these personal issues a part of their platform for decades. With the current election cycle, Republicans have added fear of illegal immigrants and Muslims bringing Sharia Law upon us. Republicans have allowed the right wing fringe (aka tea party), hate radio and TV commentators to add to the hysteria in order to distract us from the simple fact that they do not have a plan to help lead the US out of an economic recession.
The Democratic Party must be strong and create legislation to end DOMA, DADT, solidify Roe V. Wade and women’s reproductive rights. Pass a strong immigration reform bill and stand up for the first amendment rights of all religious groups. Democrats have to make a stand in order to prevent the right wing and Republicans from using these social issues as a means to distract us from their destructive agenda.
People are suffering through unemployment, loss of their homes and their dignity. We have to get past these social issues and focus on what’s morally right to do for our families, friends, neighbors and community. We need to find it in our hearts and minds to focus on what is going to help our country as a whole. If anyone has the values they claim to have they will change their ways and fight for the survival for our economic future.

One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin explained the” Buffalo Theory” to his buddy Norm:
“Well, ya see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members! ; In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.- Author unknown
Until we have campaign finance reform – we will have a very difficult time achieving that goal. Electing Progressive, Liberal or Independent candidates and starting a third or fourth party is a tremendous financial responsibility. Lobbyists dump millions of dollars into our elections for candidates who support their ideals and who will keep their profit machines running smoothly in their favor.
In the meantime, we need to get busy electing more Democrats. We’ve got to engage those who are more interested in watching reality teevee shows than participating in our political process.
This is not the time to sit out an election and allow the tea party madness that has consumed the Republican Party to infiltrate and control our Congress.
So many Americans are still fixated on social issues, such as abortion, same sex marriage and religion that it’s difficult to move on from these subjects. These are wedge issues used every election cycle by Republicans who make false promises to their base about repeal. I call it dangling the carrot syndrome!
I’M FIRED UP AND READY TO GO BECAUSE I KNOW WE CAN DO BETTER THAN REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY MADNESS!!
More to follow…

Beck and his followers deserve every bit of ridicule. How dare they try to take the Civil Rights Movement and make a mockery of what happened to those who suffered and made the ultimate sacrifice just so African-Americans like ME can be FREE in America?
Someone asked me who Glenn Beck is trying to hijack the Civil Rights Movement from?!
Glenn Beck is trying to hijack the Civil Rights Movement from all those who marched (including Dr. Martin Luther King’s children who were rendered fatherless after he was murdered), from those four little girls (Carol Denise McNair, Cynthia Diane Wesley, Carole Rosamond, Robertson and Addie Mae Collins) who were killed after their church was bombed in Birmingham, AL in 1963, from the three civil rights workers (James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner) who were killed in Mississippi 1964 by the KKK, from those who were water hosed, chewed by dogs, told they were less than a man, from those who endured Jim Crow Laws and “whites only” signs, from those who were denied the right to vote, from those who were jailed, hung and burned to death just for being BLACK.
We can’t forget the murders of Emmit Till or Civil Rights activist Medgar Evers.
Thanks to all who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to all who marched and endured cruelty for our FREEDOM.
I try to understand why anyone with a brain could think that Alan Keyes, Michael Steele, Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck are true patriots who love America. To think these opportunist slugs are people in favor of helping improve conditions in America is insanity of epic proportions. These opportunists’ drive to obtain wealth and status is so strong they will tread on their own and eat their children to get ahead. They just don’t give a f*ck.
Alan Keyes: A man who will say anything to rally support for his failed campaigns for President. I think Keyes only supports the ‘birthers’ and tea party because he thinks it will propel him into the national spotlight and garner support for another failed campaign for the presidency (he’s had at least four failures). Keyes has gone as far as allowing the racist tea party bowel movement to use him as an example of how they’re not racists by agreeing that they’re not racist. Keyes has so many insane quotes to choose from but this one takes the cake: “Obama is a radical communist and I think it is becoming clear. That’s what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it’s true. He is going to destroy this country and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist…”
Michael Steele: This guy never fails at making himself look as inept as possible. He’s allowed himself to be the patsy of the GOP. As the GOP scrambles to stop the mass exodus of minorities from the party, Steele was supposed to be the solution. Instead of increasing diversity Steele has only succeeded at embarrassing the GOP and African-Americans everywhere with his silly comments about how he’ll woo Blacks to the GOP with “fried chicken and potato salad.”
Sarah Palin –Threw her own daughter to the wolves when her teen pregnancy was exposed during the 2008 Presidential election. Palin was a pit bull wearing lipstick then, now she’s a mama grizzly who supports politicians who want to strip women of their reproductive rights. Palin supports hate radio talker Laura Schlessinger and just about anyone who will keep her name in the media. If you can pay $100,000 to hear her bash Obama or $10,000 for a photo op, then she’ll thank you very much – you betcha, don’tcha know Joe!? ‘Refudiate’ this Palin and reload on a hot cup of STFU.
Glenn Beck – Says he’s just a rodeo clown and that anyone who takes what he says as gospel is crazy. Instead of giving his audience facts, he’d rather gin up their fears of the scary Black man in the White House. His rhetoric seems to escalate daily on the radio and on the teevee. His latest attempt to heighten hysteria: “Restoring Honor” rally on the anniversary date of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial. I truly wish the statue of President Lincoln would somehow rise up and kick Beck’s ass. Beck has so many idiotic quotes – here’s one: “What we don’t have a right to is health care, housing, or handouts. We don’t have those rights.”
With hatriots like these who needs enemies!
I think it’s OUTRAGEOUS to see people (mostly right wingers) protesting the Islamic Center being built almost four blocks away from Ground Zero. All this noise when the Pussycat Lounge is less than a block away from Ground Zero. The Pussycat Lounge a forty year old strip club. Republicans have found another wedge issue to distract us from the real issues and stirrup their fearful, hateful base.
Here are some of the most ridiculous FALSE claims I’ve heard about The Cordoba Group’s Islamic Center, Muslims and the religion of Islam:
IT’S A PART OF OBAMA’S BLUE PRINT PLAN TO SUBJUGATE THE US TO SHARIA LAW
IT’S A MOSQUE BEING BUILT ON/AT GROUND ZERO
IT’S GOING TO DESECRATE SACRED GROUND ZERO
IT’S DISRESPECTFUL TO THE VICTIMS OF 911
IT’S GOING TO PROVIDE A HAVEN FOR MUSLIM TERRORRISTS
THE RELIGION OF ISLAM IS ALL ABOUT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
MUSLIM TERRORRISTS ARE MOCKING US
IT’S GOING TO HELP MUSLIM TERRORRISTS ATTACK US AGAIN
MUSLIMS HATE AMERICA
All of these claims are not only FALSE but INSANE. Because of what happened on September 11, 2001 these ignorant mobs of protestors are now trying to paint all Muslims as terrorists. Every religion on earth has its extremists. The Catholic Church has priests who are pedophiles but does that mean that all priests are pedophiles? NO! Neither does it mean we should stop the building of Catholic Cathedrals.
